The Scholarship's Purpose

The Reducing Barriers Scholarship is a crucial funding stream dedicated to empowering students who demonstrate significant financial need and dedication to their studies. This scholarship directly addresses the economic obstacles that often prevent talented individuals from accessing or completing higher education. Our focus is on providing robust, flexible financial support designed to reduce dependency on student loans and minimize the need for excessive part-time work, allowing recipients to concentrate fully on their academic goals and growth. Eligibility and Requirements

This is a need-based award open to first-generation students and those from low-to-moderate-income backgrounds enrolled in an undergraduate or vocational program. Applicants must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7. Eligibility requires completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or equivalent documentation to demonstrate financial need. The application requires a brief personal statement (300–500 words) detailing current financial challenges and how this scholarship would directly enable their academic pursuit. The application deadline is November 15th.
